BEFORE & AFTER
Good Design Affects the Success of Your Business
Interior design increases the productivity and workflow of your staff and team, which in turn helps your company grow. When you take better care of your employees, they take better care of your customers.
A Vietnamese Bistro
Location: Ithaca, New York.
Dilemmas: This first-time bistro owner disliked the new paint colors chosen by his painter. He said the new color scheme was uninspiring.
Client's vision: The client wanted a more inviting and dramatic facade facing the street. At the same time, he felt it should blend seamlessly with the attached apartment.
Desired outcome: A building that is noticeable and striking to pedestrians and drivers passing by.
Challenges: The client did not want to repaint the entire exterior since the building was just painted.
Proposed and approved paint concept: We added two colors specifically selected to grab attention while blending with the existing new exterior paint palette. The bright accent color on the door incites interest while the darker sage calms.
Outcome: The owner felt very pleased with the result. His opening week was highly successful, with the local newspaper reporting that the restaurant was the first in downtown Ithaca with a long wait outside the restaurant.
Before A nondescript entrance doesn't draw your attention.
After The colors subtly separated residential from commercial space while tied in with the existing exterior paint colors.
A behind-the-scenes solution We extended the new darker paint color on the first-floor façade to give the impression of a larger restaurant. The exterior color was repeated on the custom-made bar counter inside the bistro.

A Stylish Office
Location: CBD, Singapore.
Dilemmas: This project faced challenges involving the timeline to complete, sprinkler relocation, and steel-raised floor panels. On top of that, multiple contractors and subcontractors turned down the opportunity to work with our client, a young entrepreneur.
Client's vision: The business owner desired an office that looked spacious, upbeat, and professional. The basic color and space plan had already been developed.
Desired outcome: To have all renovation completed within eight weeks, including the M&E, sprinkler work, and P.E. testing.
Challenges: Noisy work was allowed only after 10P.M. and before 6A.M. The building had small service elevators and our client's specified eight-foot tall tempered glass panels could not fit. Some larger pieces had to be hand-carried while keeping to the tight budget.
Approved project management timeline: We developed and executed a project management plan to ensure the efficient and wise use of allocated time for each trade to arrive and complete the specified work.
Outcome: The renovation was fully complete by the end of six weeks. The remaining two weeks allowed the business owner to supervise furniture and appliance installation and professionally clean the glass doors and panels. We followed up with touch-up paintwork afterward.
The client was thrilled. He was especially impressed with the professionalism and speed with which we accomplished his project, and awarded us more work moving forward.
